You're Not Burned Out. You're Disconnected

When was the last time you woke up and didn't immediately feel behind?
Before your feet even hit the floor, your mind is already running. You grab your phone, start scrolling and begin playing catch up. You are answering everyone else before you have even said good morning to yourself. Is this you?
Yes, you get things done and stay busy. But at the end of the day does it actually feel like enough? Or does something still feel a little empty?
Here is a question for you. When did you last stop and check in with yourself? Not your to-do list. Not your inbox. Just you.
Because when all your energy goes outward all the time, you slowly lose touch with your own signals.
And that disconnection shows up in ways you might not even connect. You feel tired but cannot sleep. You are anxious and irritable for no clear reason. Sound like how you are today?
And midlife? It has a way of amplifying the volume on all of it. For women, menopause brings real physical changes including hormones, sleep, brain fog, mood swings. But how much of what you are feeling is biology and how much is years of putting yourself last? For men it shows up as lower energy, less drive, feeling disconnected from yourself and the people around you. How long have you been going through the motions and just pushing through?
Because here is the thing. Your body will only let you ignore its signals for so long.
Eventually it stops letting you push through. This the point where your body is finally making you pay attention.
So what would it feel like to actually listen to your body, mind and soul?
You already have an inner voice. It knows when something feels off and what you need. It has probably been trying to get your attention for a while now. The question is are you quiet enough to hear it?
That is exactly what meditation does. Not in a complicated way. Just five minutes. Putting your phone down with no distractions. Allowing your body to relax. And the ONE honest question you can ask is “what do I actually need today”?

What if that was enough to start coming back to yourself?
Self-care is not something that is optional because eventually layers and layers of mis-guided energy builds to a point where your physical body says enough.
If you are ready to stop running on empty and start listening inward, schedule a 1:1 meditation session or join my next meditation class. We slow down together. We practice actually hearing ourselves again. And slowly you find your way back to you.
